قومي بتسخين الماء ! د.أحمد خالد توفيق
” قبل أن ألتحق بكلية الطب كان هناك لغز يؤرقني في الأفلام العربية التي أراها : فما إن تشعر المرأة بآالام الولادة حتى تقول إحدى السيدات العجائز لصاحبتها أو يقول الطبيب :
– ” قومي بتسخين الماء “
فتهرع المرأة إلى المطبخ لتغلي إناءًا كبيرًا تحمله في حذر إلى غرفة الولادة وهنا ينغلق الباب في وجهنا فلا تعرف ما ح…دث بعد ذلك ..
كان عندي من الشجاعة الأدبية ما سمح لي بأن أسأل أمي عن استخدام الماء الساخن في الولادة ، فقالت في غموض :
– ” هذه أمور نسائية لا تسأل عنها ..”
ثم كبرت نوعًا فوجدت كتابًا كتبه طبيب أمريكي يبسط العلوم الطبية للقارىء ، واسم الكتاب هو ( حتى يحضر الطبيب ) . يقول المؤلف في باب الولادة : ” لا داعي لتسخين الماء لأن هذا قد يسبب حروقًا خطيرة لك أو الأم أو الجنين “
هذا ما قاله ولم يشرح استخدام هذا الماء .. أقصد الاستخدام الخاطيء الذي ينبغي أن نتوقف عنه .. إذن الأمريكان يسخنون الماء كذلك ولسبب مجهول ..
دخلت كلية الطب إذن ، وانتظرت في صبر حتى درسنا الولادة .. كل شيء عن الولادة والأغشية التي تنفجر ودوران الرأس و .. و .. وكل شيء .. وقد قمت بتوليد نساء كثيرات في بداية حياتي قبل أن أتخصص في الأمراض الباطنة ، لم يحدث قط أن احتجت للماء الساخن ، ولم أر أي شخص يحتاج للماء الساخن أمامي
..
لكنني فطنت بعد أن ابتعدت عن صرخات غرفة التوليد بعشر سنوات أنني لم أتلق الإجابة قط .. لم أعرف ما يفعلونه بالماء الساخن في الأفلام .
هكذا انتحيت بأحد كبار أطباء التوليد جانبًا وسألته عن سر الماء الساخن ، فاتسعت عيناه في ذهول وظل ينظر لي عاجزًا عن الكلام بضع ثوان ثم قال :
– ” حقًا لا تعرف ؟ .. إنسان مثقف مثلك ، أو هذا ما كنت أحسبه ؟ .. أنت تمزح طبعًا .. لا يوجد تفسير عندي سوى أنك تمزح ..”
هنا انفجرت ضاحكًا وقلت له إنني كنت أمزح فعلًا .. عليه ألا يكون ساذجًا لهذا الحد .. هناك مشكلة مزمنة عندي هي أنني لا أبدو كمن يمزح عندما أمزح .
قال لي بلهجة جدية :
– ” أنصحك ألا تسأل أسئلة بلهاء كهذه وإلا ظنوا بعقلك الظنون !”
هكذا قضي الأمر وصار علي أن أبقى جاهلًا للأبد ما دمت لا أملك شجاعة أن أبدو جاهلًا لنصف دقيقة ، وعلى كل حال قد كونت نظريتي الخاصة عن الموضوع ..
غالبًا يستعمل الماء الساخن لقتل الوليد إذا كان قبيحًا ، أو هم يحرقون الأم به كي لا تشعر بألم الولادة ، وربما هم يفعلون هذا لاستفزازي فقط ، أي أنهم يسخنون الماء في كل الولادات كي أجن أنا .
مشكلة أخرى حيرتني في كلية الطب هي ( برد المعدة ) ..
هناك ذلك الرجل الذي يشعر بتوعك وغثيان فيقول له الطبيب إنه مصاب ببرد في المعدة . درست الجهاز الهضمي والحميات فلم أقرأ قط تعبير ( برد في المعدة )
هذا .. ولماذا يفضل البرد المعدة على أعضاء أخرى ؟ .. هذه ألغاز كونية لا إجابة عنها وبالطبع كان رد أي طبيب سألته هو “
– ” هأ .. هأ .. أنت تمزح طبعًا ..”
هكذا خرست تمامًا .. وهأنذا أقترب من نهاية حياتي دون أن أعرف معنى برد في المعدة هذا .. من الواضح أنني فشلت .. أقولها حزينًا كاسف البال ..
كل هذا محتمل ، لكن ما معنى ( كسل في الكبد ) ؟ .. هناك تليف كبد .. فشل كبدي حاد ومزمن .. التهاب كبدي .. دهون كبدية .. الخ .. لكن ما معنى (كبد كسول) ؟ .. هل تتحسن حالته ببعض التدليك أو التدفئة ؟.. هل يفيده شرب
المنبهات كالشاي والقهوة ؟
بالطبع لا أعرف .. دكتوراه في أمراض الكبد ولم أعرف بعد .. والأدهى أن كل الناس يعرفون ما عداي ..
ماذا ؟ هذه زوجتي تطلب مني أن آتي معها فورًا لأن أختها قد داهمتها آلام المخاض .. نهرع إلى بيت أختها لندرك أن الوقت لن يتسع لنقلها إلى المستشفى .. يبدو أنها ستضع وليدها على الفراش . هنا أشمر ذراعي وأقول لزوجتي في حزم:
– ” قومي بتسخين الماء !”
تنظر لي في حيرة ثم تقول : – ” والسبب ؟ “
فأضرب كفًا بكف وأقول في عصبية : – ” لا تسألي حتى لا يظن أحدهم بعقلك الظنون .. امرأة في هذه السن ولا تعرف أهمية الماء الساخن في الولادة ؟ ..
هيا … لا تنظري لي بهذه الطريقة كأنك مصابة بكسل في الكبد وبرد في المعدة .. قومي بتسخين الماء ولربما أشرح لك ما استغلق عليك من أسرار فيما بعد “.
